Its adaptable design allows the same thermal device to transition between observation and mounted applications, reducing the need to carry multiple dedicated thermal devices. At the heart of the HYDRA-LRF is a 256x192 thermal sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and ≤25mK NETD sensitivity. DNT's Image Super Resolution (ISR) processing enhances thermal image detail, while the 1024x768 Micro-OLED display and 50Hz refresh rate provide a clear, responsive viewing experience. The 25mm objective provides 3x base magnification with digital magnification extending up to 12x for closer examination of distant heat signatures. An integrated laser rangefinder provides ranging capability from 5 to 1,300 yards, eliminating the need to carry a separate handheld rangefinder. The built-in DNT Ballistic Engine works with measured range information and configured ballistic profiles to provide calculated compensation data. Ballistic profiles can be configured directly through the optic or managed using the DNT App. For observation across changing terrain and environmental conditions, the HS225R provides eight selectable thermal color palettes.
